I feel sooooo goooooood!! Like wooooo good! I seriously do a complete 180 when I start working out and consciously eating better. I feel healthier and less foggy headed and just GOOD. Like I can conquer the world! And I actually do become more productive, because I have more energy.
But sometimes when I start getting back to a routine at the gym it can be tough for me to take a day off because I just want to go hard and see results and keep the high going! Can any of you relate? It’s like once I have that drive and motivation it rolls on itself; the more I get off my butt and move, the more I want to!
So I have to remind myself to take it easy when I get a little too excited about getting back into shape…because if I don’t give my body the rest it needs then it will just wear out! Or even worse I could easily injure myself which could completely take me out of the game.
Remember: It’s just as important for your body to get rest as it is to get exercise! Because your muscles actually grow while you are resting as your body repairs itself! Rest is CRUCUIAL to results. And needed in order to stay motivated and not burn out!
Getting enough sleep, taking time to do things that you enjoy that lessen your stress, and the nutrition that you give your body during your rest time ALL MATTERS. It helps your body heal and grow!
So why not take a day off and relax! And maybe in the mean time shop for some work out clothes that are going to make you feel like kicking butt in the gym when you get back?
