Ladies, you’ll love this if you dread shopping, or if you love clothes or if you love surprises! I present to you: Stitch Fix
A friend of mine had recently posted about it on Facebook and when I read more about it I really wanted to try it out! So I’ll share my first Stitch Fix with you in a minute and tell you what I think…
But a little about it: You sign up on their website and create a style profile where you tell them your size/measurements and taste in clothing by answering a few questions, as well as giving them the price range that you are wanting to work within and a date that you would like your Fix to arrive. You can also create a Pinterest board of clothing you like and give them the link in your Stitch Fix profile so they have an even better idea of your personal style! Next a personal stylist (Jennifer in my case) picks out 5 items they think you will like and inserts a personal note and paper with different ways to style each piece that was picked for you. When you sign up for your first Fix there is a $20 styling fee that will go toward any of your purchases should you choose to keep anything. When you get your box, you try everything on, decide whatever you want and don’t want and then head online to pay for your items and complete a return survey. Basically, let them know EVERYTHING you think because they use your feedback to personalize your style more and more and become better at choosing things for you! They have included a pre-paid shipping bag for any clothes that you want to return, so just drop it at any USPS within 3 business days and you are set!
OKAY here we go, I’ll share my Fix experience now:
They were wrapped in tissue paper with a cute little sticker before I opened them up, but ta-da! The box actually does contain clothes. My first reaction, CUTE whatever that red thing is. I like the pattern.
I really like this shirt! But I tried it on and it fit well, but was a tad bit too small 🙁 sad day, I’ve got to update my sizing online. Must be all that weight-lifting… 😛 Nothing to do with the pizza I just ate.
I thought this dress was super cute and the material was really nice. It definitely looks well-made (sometimes pictures don’t do it justice). However it was a tad bit too big (but it was also a small as the shirt had been). They might have trouble getting my sizes right because my body is definitely unique!…I can be a x-small, small, medium and large all at once! Anyone else have this issue?
Couldn’t get the whole pant legs into the picture but I actually really liked the way these fit. I was a little skeptical at first because you know how you can just look at something and know it is going to fit weird on your body? That’s what I thought about these, but when I tried them on I loved the way they fell on my waist. I already have black skinny jeans or I would have probably kept them…
There was also a navy textured pencil skirt (the only thing I really didn’t like) and a layered metal cuff bracelet (the only thing I’m keeping). I’d definitely recommend trying it out. It’s a fun experience. I know I’ll be giving them feedback like crazy and giving them another shot! Stitch Fix was a pleasant surprise tonight.
