If you’re a lifestyle blogger and you haven’t posted about the Nordstrom sale today I applaud you. Because as much as I would love to have shopped for $250 dollar jeans, etc. on sale that went public for us commoners today and then shared my ‘likes’, I’m busy running around trying to earn $ for groceries and a someday permanent residence and our invisible vacation fund. I would have a Nordstrom fund if I cared enough but I just don’t. I actually realized that I prefer to never put on real clothes if I can avoid it. It’s just SO much more comfortable, don’t you agree? Sam asks me why I always wear such baggy clothes ALL the time…um that’s like the next best thing to being naked! The FREEDOM. I try to wear fake clothes as much as I can. All that to say, I’ve been in THAT mood today.
Also, I’ve been honking at everyone today – for everything!
THE LIGHT IS STILL GREEN WHY ARE YOU BREAKING?! Now its yellow and you’re stopped. A honk for you.
THE SPEED LIMIT IS 55 AND YOU ARE GOING TEN UNDER! A honk for you.
DO YOU PEOPLE NOT KNOW HOW A FOUR WAY STOP SIGN WORKS? They got there first so they go first, and then you and then me and then that other person. Or we could all stare at each other for a solid minute. A honk for ALL of you and I’m going first!
GET OFF OF YOUR PHONE THE LIGHT TURNED GREEN AND I’VE BEEN WAITING 10 SECONDS. A honk for you.
That’s been my morning. Haha…Not particularly because I have road rage but because I’m in one of those moods where it legitimately lowers my blood pressure and makes me laugh.
The only time it actually scares me to honk the car horn is when it’s Sam behind the wheel and we are on the highway in a sea of crazy people! That’s when I generally advise against it but other than that…HONK AWAY people. I don’t think people use their horns often enough.
I once had the opportunity to visit Ghana, Africa and I was AMAZED at the honking skills of the citizens in that city in that country. EVERYONE honked for EVERYTHING. And I left Africa with a new-found admiration for letting people know whats up on the roads. We also did a lot of other stuff that was fun and eye-opening, etc. but this post is about honking. So that’s where I’ll leave that.
So anyway, I’ll probably go and fix my mood with a nap, or a glass of wine or two. But first, here are some pictures of the condo that we rent on Airbnb! I did a lot of painting the past two days! What do you think?
Have a great weekend!
