Yesterday we decided to hop in my dad's Piper and head to Waco, TX on a whim. We all love the show Fixer Upper and we all like home projects to some degree, so we'd been wanting to visit Magnolia Market for awhile. And it's basically right up the road but I love that my dad is a pilot because what would have been four hours round trip took us around 80 minutes round trip travel time. More time for activities!
The market was actually gorgeous. I've been reading The Magnolia Story and Joanna talks about her first store and the vision she had for the experience of the shoppers coming to Magnolia Market....from good smells to having floral arrangements, and beautiful displays of all the home decor and merchandise. EVERYTHING was set up so. cute. I mean, her whole set up is so on point that it's no wonder people travel #milestomagnolia. They definitely draw a crowd, so I would recommend visiting on a weekday (not around a holiday) if possible because there is a lot to enjoy - the market, the bakery, food trucks, the seed + supply, a playground for the kiddos, and around every corner is a spot for a fun photo op!
I really love Joanna's style and I would seriously try to convince Sam that we should be on the show if we lived close enough to Waco! You have to be within 40 miles of Waco at least...I already checked. Haha. But I would just LOVE to have a little farmhouse on some land one day...I daydream about it at least. We would have three to five kids running around outside. We'd have some chickens, goats, a couple horses and a big garden. Also some big trees with rope swings - because those were the best when I was a kid. Yep...that sounds perfect.
