Sam and I went on fun adventures way before we were dating. That’s pretty much what sparked our friendship because we weren’t really even friends at first, we just had the same group of friends!
But then one summer we were roommates and literally everyone else was out of town for the summer except for the two of us and we were forced into keeping each other company!
So we did fun things like him pulling me behind his bike on a skateboard down the seawall in Galveston, playing kitchen hockey with a bag of cake mix until it exploded and sneaking onto old military forts past closing time and almost getting caught and hauled into jail.
We were quite the adventurers back then, and honestly thats part of what sparked a friendship that turned into more than a friendship… finding out that we had a lot of fun together!
It’s important to keep that sense of adventure going in a relationship! It makes life more fun and creates more memories and intimate moments that don’t always happen unless you’re being intentional!
