Sam and I LOVE whenever we get to spend some time downtown. These days our downtown visits seem few and far between what with living in West Austin, being 14 weeks pregnant and wanting to do some nesting I guess!
We talk about how great it would be to eventually get a condo downtown that we could rent out and stay at from time to time but who knows...Austin is just so pretty and we love any excuse for a mini-staycation.
This past Friday Sam and I enjoyed the Ultimate YETI Experience with Hyatt Regency Austin and it was the perfect little getaway and date night!
If you're looking to visit Austin in the near future or looking for a date night out, this package includes so many goodies that would be perfect for all of your Austin and Lady Bird Lake adventures:

- (1) YETI® Colster (to keep your beer ice cold while you kayak over to Barton Springs)
- (2) vouchers for your drink of choice at the YETI™ Barrr (which is right around the corner, walking distance from the hotel)
- (1) YETI Hat (to keep the sun off your face while biking around the Lake)

- (1) YETI Bottle Key Opener
We spent the evening at the Austin Fashion Week runway show, which is ALWAYS a blast and so much fun to attend if you're able to plan for it. I love having a reason to dress up because we don't do it that often! This year marked their 10th anniversary, and I also learned that it's the fourth largest fashion week in the country so you should definitely put it on your calendar for next year!
I ended up wearing THIS dress that won by ONE vote on my Instagram stories! I truly love the dress (Sam did too!), I thought it was so classy. It's just that it showed off my barely there bump that looked more like a food baby, but I decided to embrace it! I did have fun shoving my face with appetizers in the lounge at the fashion show and leaving people guessing if the bump was my love of food or a baby though, haha.
After the show, baby boy (actual baby, not Sam haha) was hungry again so we ate dinner at Marker 10 at the hotel. I was CRAVING sushi and downed two whole (cooked) rolls, AFTER an appetizer of chicken wings and breaded pretzels! Haha I was so happy to have sushi, and it was so good!
Thankfully the dinner menu runs until 11pm, because we made it back just in time to put in an order at 10:30 for their last call for sushi orders! They also have a late night menu that runs until midnight, so we wouldn't have starved either way.
Then we went into a food coma in the coziest bed with the prettiest city lights view and woke up to some CRAZY WEIRD 40 degree weather! I wasn't anticipating that AT ALL, so I literally had nothing warm in my bag and ended up wearing some of Sam's clothes and some socks with my sandals to breakfast.
We ate at the Southwest Bistro for breakfast and were hoping to take a Swan boat out on Lady Bird Lake afterward, but it was just TOO cold! So I definitely want to go back for that. If you stay at the Hyatt Regency Austin, you can literally walk to the water and Capital Cruises is RIGHT THERE where you can rent some water crafts or go for a cruise!
Anyway, we had a wonderful time and want to thank Hyatt Regency Austin for hosting us. We'll come back anytime!!! 🙂
