Does everyone else struggle with cleaning their bedroom closet?
Holding onto clothes for someday.
It's organized! For a day...and then it's a mess again.
Somehow shoes go missing and I'm left with one half of them.
Can't exactly figure out how to make my purses fit into the mix - that I don't really use because I'm too lazy to switch out purses that often. I basically switch out purses every time I'm gifted a new one.
Drawers are constantly overflowing...why do I own so many t-shirts? Too many t-shirts, not enough tops.
Anyone else have these closet struggles?
Anyway, I found a few solutions for my closet...but it's yet to undergo a magical transformation. Sam plans to build more shelving because we have very limited storage in our closet! So in the meantime here's what has helped me get a little more organized.
- We had nowhere to put our shoes and this AmazonBasics 50-Pair Shoe Rack makes them look organized and they are sooo much easier to find. Now I just need to find those already missing half pairs...
- I used some Iron Plating Hanging Hooks hooks to organize my purses but I'm also ordering a Hanging Closet Organizer for Purses because it looks a lot more space efficient. Also this Tie and Accessory Rack for Sam - great for belts too.
- I'm consigning the clothes that can still sell with ThredUp & FB! And taking the rest to Goodwill! If you use ThredUp they make it super easy, they send you a Clean Out Kit, you send it to them, they keep what they want to sell and send you $$$. It's basically like an online Plato's Closet except you don't have to go to them - way more convenient.
- I love a nice clear jewelry organizer because you can see what you have, see what you like wearing and not amass a ton of jewelry that you never know what you have and never wear because you just store it away in a huge wooden jewelry box. I'm not a big jewelry person anyway...I mean I love jewelry...I just forget to put it on. My favorite are dangly earrings, simple necklaces and rings!
