Good Morning Beauties!
I am here to share with you my face routine! Nothing fancy, all super affordable and they honestly get the job done, at least for my face, and I know it’s different for everyone, but if you’re skin type is at all similar to mine I hope this is helpful to you! I have very sensitive skin. Very oily and acne prone, like I can’t touch my face at all or a mountain will all of a sudden emerge on my face, but also my skin will easily dry out too much really fast if I’m being too harsh on it with my face products. So I have a smorgasbord of products that I use and have found balance each other out very well!
- Neutrogena Transparent Facial Bar
I use this as my daily face wash! It honestly works better for my face than any bottled face wash has and it’s only $2.49!!! Major win! It doesn’t leave residue that clogs up my pores and my skin feels like every bit of dirt, make-up etc. has been pulled away. That feeling that only an actual soap bar can give you. I see way less break-outs when I use this soap bar compared to even Neutrogena’s bottled version, or any other brand’s bottled face wash. I use it every morning when I wake-up and every night right before bed.
- St. Ives Blemish Control Apricot Scrub
I use this to exfoliate my face around 2-3 times a week. I generally leave this one in the shower and exfoliate after work-outs or runs. Obviously not every time if I’m working out every day because I don’t want my face to become irritated, but I haven’t had any problems with that yet. I love St. Ives because it uses natural exfoliants, is kind to skin and exfoliates deeply. It’s also only $3.54 which is AWESOME.
- Clean & Clear’s Persa-gel 10 Max Strength
Directly after I’ve washed my face I dab the hell out of every pimple or problem area I see on my face with this stuff! Sometimes I’ll even spread a thin layer of this over my entire face…it works wonders! I see improvement overnight, pimples will be smaller, dried out and in the process of going away (thank you benzoyl peroxide!)! I always make sure and moisturize right after use though, so my skin stays balanced and doesn’t over produce oil because my skin is too dry.
- Cetaphil’s Daily Facial Moisturizer
This moisturizer is so lightweight and clean feeling when it goes on. It won’t clog your pores and it doesn’t feel like a mask or sunscreen even though it does contain SPF 15! This one is a little more $$ compared to the $3 face washes, but pretty average for your drugstore moisturizer cost per different brands. It’s totally worth it. I found mine at HEB for $10 something.
- Pond’s Exfoliating Renewal Wet Cleansing Towelettes
These are great when you are on the go and you face is getting oily or your skin feels clogged! I find mine come in handy before a workout when I need to take my make-up off and after a work-out to clean away the sweat and oil. They’re also great if you’ve been running errands all day and your face needs a little refresher. I’ll use these POND’S wipes but honestly I’ll buy whichever brand has these type of wipes on sale. That’s why I have another type in my picture above. My mom always finds good deals on them and will give me some! I’ve used them all…Simple brand, Neutrogena, Clean&Clear, etc. They all get the job done!
- Nivea Lip Butter
I couldn’t leave off lip care because mine definitely need it!! My lips get so easily chapped year round but this NIVEA Lip Butter really works wonders at repairing my cracked lips and making them smooth. Thank you mom! You can find these at the store for $3. Let me tell you, the first time I used this on my lips, they were insanely cracked and then I pick at them while they are cracking which makes it worse. My lips end up looking like I got punched in the face…that’s how bad they looked the first time I used this stuff but I woke up the next morning and they were completely healed and smooth. I don’t know how, but I can’t make this stuff up, I was actually amazed by it!
So there you have it! I was in no way paid to talk about these brands, I have just honestly found this routine works best for my weird skin (& it’s affordable!!)! Hope this can be helpful for some of you! 🙂
