We're back from one of the most gorgeous states in the country! I had never been to Montana before but I immediately fell in love. I'll be doing a little Montana post series sharing everything from our trip: where we stayed, what we ate and our time at the Ski Resort - I can honestly say this has been one of my favorite trips ever and I can't wait to go back. I told Sam a million times, seriously, that I would move there in a heart beat regardless of my fear of Grizzly bears! Haha. But everyone we met had a similar story about how they visited one time and then came back so often that they eventually ended up staying, because of what is obvious the first time you visit, could you imagine a better place to live? It's hard to. And the more stories I heard like that the more I envisioned that being us one day! You never know right?
The whole place was stunning. There was SO MUCH SNOW while we were there. I've never seen so much powder blanketed over everything. There were mountains and giant frosted lakes that went on to meet the horizon and massive pine trees in every direction on our drive in and out of Whitefish, it was like being in a picture perfect postcard! There are a million and one things to do up there (which I'll be sharing more of later), transportation is easier than you might expect and the PEOPLE are so so nice. I was kind of blown away by the simple nature of people being so open and kind...maybe because the culture in Austin is a little bit different and fast paced and people are busy? But maybe because I could work on being more open and kind myself! Either way, the people were so warm and welcoming and everyone knew everyone so it felt like a big family! I love small communities that way.
Anyway this is just a little introductory post because I know that the blog has been quiet during my travels. I'll have four more posts that share more in-depth info. But wanted to share these photos of Montana from our drive home (to the airport). Hope everyone is having a great Wednesday!
