Before & After
Day 1 vs. End of Week 2
filler very new and puffy right after injections
filler set and loving the results
It's been over three weeks since I had Juvederm Volbella injected to the tear trough area/ my under eye hollows!
I was nervous and excited to see the hollows disappear from my face and I think that Dr. Geddes did an amazing job. The procedure was quick and painless and I would definitely go to her for future treatments again.
But let's get into what I think about the change!
I notice that my under eyes are definitely brighter... and I especially appreciate the filler when I'm working out or running errands and I'm not wearing any makeup. I really disliked how hollow and dark my eyes were before without make-up, but I was also used to it. I mean it's been my face forever so it was an adjustment.
I felt like I looked SO different at first. It honestly took a minute (2 weeks at the least) to get used to how I look with filler under my eye's...I thought I hated my under-eyes before but I honestly thought more than a few times after the procedure, that I missed my under eye hollows!
It definitely gave me some perspective on how I see myself, how much weight I sometimes put into how I look and probably shouldn't so much, and how easily that can change. I honestly felt a little bit self-conscious for the first week or so after the filler. The change felt drastic, and even though I wanted it I felt a little bit of an identity crisis! I know it sounds so silly...but it's true. So was it worth it?
I'm honestly SO happy that I went through with getting under eye filler. I think it looks better and better everyday and it will be crazy to see how much I notice the difference as the filler wears off in a year!
I don't know yet if I will get it again once it wears off but I guess we'll see. I like my face either way but I'm really happy that I tried it and I'm really happy with the results (especially now that the filler has set and my face has de-puffed from the injections). I'd recommend it if you've really been thinking about it/really think you could use the under-eye help but I'd say give yourself time to get used to the change! But also just know that your face is pretty great either way!
Have a great Wednesday!
