I love exploring the Austin food scene whenever I get the chance because of cute places like exhibit, Hillside Farmacy. I live 30-45 minutes outside of the city so whenever I get the chance to try something new it's a special treat!
After an interview last week I made my way over to the East side, which will forever hold a special place in my heart because Sam's old office was over there, and it was basically a house so we were always hanging out on the East side, for around 2 years!
Anyway, I didn't get the job which was a whole new level of frustration for me because this was the second interview with this company in two years, for a different position and this is the second time I was REJECTED, AFTER a three hour long interview process for a role of responding to EMAILS. You. don't. think. I. can. write. emails?!? It's what I DO. EVERY DAY. So frustrating... their loss, right?!
I digress, I had seen/heard of this restaurant many times and knew I HAD to try it. The whole place is ADORABLE, inside and out! Yes dear waiter, table of one please. I just bombed an interview and want to eat my feelings.
Hillside Farmacy serves breakast, lunch/all day menu, and brunch (which I REALLY want to go back for). I happened to be there around noon and ordered the: fried egg* sandwich (bacon +3), over easy farm egg* , avocado, aioli* , sprouts, fried green tomatoes (which can be found on each of those menu's and it was absolutely INCREDIBLE. If I had a running list of top 5 sandwich's this would be on it).
If you're looking for a cute and quaint new spot to pop in for breakfast/lunch/brunch - this is your place!
Let me know what you think after your visit 🙂 And don't worry about me, I'll be fine. (if I could put the cry-laughing emoji here I would)
HAPPY FRIDAY HAVE A WONDERFUL WEEKEND!
