I've found paradise in Texas! I've always loved Port Aransas - it's been my favorite Texas escape since I was a kid, but the discovery of Cinnamon Shore has taken my love for Port Aransas to a whole new level. There is no other place along the Texas Coastal Bend quite like this cozy & quaint seaside community. Everything about it is perfectly put together like something straight out of Southern Living, and the moment we arrived we felt at home.
This master-planned community was founded on Mustang Island in 2007 and has immovably arrived at it's 10 year anniversary fully equipped with the best service, amenities and accommodations that make for a simple and easy way of living or a truly unforgettable getaway for any occasion (and quite frankly I was blown away by all of it the entire duration of our trip).
- Two lakes to fish in.
- Two swimming pools, each with a cafe: Seaside Cafe & C Bar Cafe.
- A restaurant onsite: Lisabella's Bar & Bistro.
- A Town Center where family's can gather and listen to live music, grab a snow cone from the Sea Treats Truck, or coffee from the Lil' Cinnamon Stand.
- A great lawn where the family can gather around a fire and make s'mores.
- Golf carts, beach umbrellas and chairs, and a variety of activities that can be set up for the kids or anyone in the family!
- Events and specials during holidays. Check out their Mother's Day special here.
And future addition's of: retail, a market, a restaurant featuring brick oven pizza, and a coffee shop! There are a lot of exciting things in store for this distinguished seaside retreat. Here's a look at what we enjoyed during our two night stay:
We, A Cup of Motherhood and I, checked into Causeway #3202, instantly wishing we could stay longer than two nights. The rental was picture perfect and so cozy! Once unpacked we hopped into our golf cart (available to rent) to tour the beach and every corner of Cinnamon Shore before settling in at Kiera Pool - an enticing infinity pool that appears to spill over into Lake Gavin.
After the road trip from Austin, we were more than ready to lounge the afternoon away poolside while the little ones enjoyed the toddler friendly end of the pool, complete with a beach-like entrance and splashing fountains. Even in April, the water was just nice enough to get in and feel refreshed!
To ring in our first evening at Cinnamon Shore we enjoyed the sunset around the Great Lawn fire pit! We roasted marshmallows, made s'mores and the kids had a great time running off some sugar on the lawn! This was one of my favorite things to do the whole trip - the evening was so beautiful and this was the perfect way to enjoy it. What a fun way to end the day! It was made effortless by Cinnamon Shore setting the fire and then delivering all of the S'more goodies straight to our door - I would definitely recommend enjoying a S'mores Night during your visit.
After a quick morning workout at the Fitness Center beside Kiera Pool and exploring more of the Cinnamon Shore property (every single house is a dream!), we had a beach day!
Having a golf cart to drive from our rental to the beach made life so easy - especially with all of the beach toys and towels in tow! Cinnamon Shore offers beach rentals so there were already chairs and umbrellas set up with our name on them when we arrived! We spent the day soaking up the sun on those chairs, testing out the water and getting sand castle lessons!
There are many different activities that Cinnamon Shore can set up during your stay. While we were visiting the Port Aransas Sandcastle Guy came out to teach us the secrets to making really awesome sandcastles, see sandcastle photo below. The kids really loved that part of beach day!
After the beach we had dinner at the most adorable restaurant, just steps away from our rental! See Lisabellas, what we ordered and what my favorite's were below.
Dinner at Lisabellas
This restaurant was SO cute. With really nice music playing in the background and decor that was very elegant and warm - the atmosphere was completely charming! Families and couples were out enjoying dinner and it was very accommodating to all different dinner parties - I just loved the whole experience, especially the food!
- Starters: Garlic Bread & Warm Goat Cheese
- Meal: Kid's Pasta, Sunlight Pasta, and I ordered the Mixed Grill, which was absolutely delicious!
- Drinks: Champagne Mojito, Italian Mule and Skinny Coconut Margarita
Everything was great! My favorite's among our order were the Warm Goat Cheese, the Mixed Grill and the Italian Mule. I really recommend trying these - so good!
