Last weekend, on a whim, Sam and I decided to take a spontaneous trip from Salt Lake City to Park City solely because I wanted to have a bucket list moment! I came across Skywalker Balloon Company the week before our trip to Utah and kept hoping that our road tripping schedule would give us the freedom to go - and with a little dance around accommodations it did, so we went!
This was a first-time experience for Sam and I both, and with all of the surrounding beauty of Utah I think we chose the perfect place for our hot air balloon ride. I was a little nervous at first because the thought of floating 12,700 feet above sea level in a giant basket is pretty daring - but the whole ride was just as peaceful and serene as you would expect it to be, maybe even more so with the Wasatch Mountain Range surrounding and vast green fields with little lambs frolicking around below. And it wasn't scary AT ALL, but we also had Will piloting, and he's been doing this for over 20 years!
About Skywalker Balloon Company
Will Drummer founded Skywalker Balloon Company in 1996! After visiting the beautiful western state of Utah, Will quit his corporate job in Austria, moved to Utah and became a hot air balloon pilot where he shares his passion and dedication to the art of ballooning with people like me who want to experience it!
His mission is to provide the most memorable, personal balloon ride, and an adventure from start to finish - which we got 100%. During our flight we had the awesome opportunity of watching two local skydivers jump out of the basket after Will had masterfully piloted 6,000 feet into the air , and then after a serene flight and true to European style we had a delightful and un-rushed après flight celebration - Will said the Balloonist's Prayer and we all shared a champagne toast! The whole experience was perfect.
